How to DIY Flower Napkin Rings

Step 1: Cover the shower curtain rings to transform them into napkin rings

It doesn’t matter what color curtain rings you use to make napkin rings. Just as long as they make a complete circle and have a thickness to them.

First, cut about 18″ of 3/4″ to 1″ thick ribbon.

Next, put a spot of hot glue on the inside of the shower curtain ring and adhere one end of your ribbon.

Then begin to wrap the ribbon around the curtain ring.

You don’t want to wrap the ribbon too close together, or it won’t cover the curtain ring. You also don’t want to wrap it too far apart or the ring will show through.

After you have completely wrapped the curtain ring, hot glue the end to the inside of the ring, so the raw edge isn’t on the outside.

Step 2: Add artificial flowers to your diy flower napkin rings

After you have completely covered all of your curtain rings with ribbon, it’s time to add the artificial flowers.

Remove your fake flowers and their leaves from the stems. They should easily slide off.

Then create a few mock-ups of how you want the flowers to look.

I took a set of leaves, then put a large flower on top of the leaves, and added a smaller bunch of flowers between the leaves and large flower.

After I was happy with the look of the fake flowers, I glued the three pieces in place. I then did the same thing to make enough arrangements for each diy ribbon napkin ring.

*Note: in my supplies picture above you might notice that the large flowers were white. I decided that I didn’t want white flowers. I wanted blue flowers, but my local craft stores didn’t have large blue flowers that were the color I wanted. So I dyed them.

Once your artificial flower arrangements are glued together, take the stem from your large flower and glue it onto the top of your ribbon covered napkin ring.

That’s it – you’re done!!
