Option 1: Garden loving Mother’s Day centerpiece ~ keeping it low
Does your mom love to garden?
Does she have potted plants all around her house?
Then this is the Mother’s Day centerpiece for her!
It’s SO simple for you to copy.
Step 1: Find a table runner with her favorite colors.
This table runner has tans, browns, and dark greys.
Perfect for a nature-lover!
Step 2: Add a ceramic tray that compliments the colors in the table runner
It might be hard to tell, but the color of the tray is also in the table runner.
Step 3: Put a potted plant and a small watering can mister in the tray.
A small succulent, a cactus (or 2), or air plants would all be great options.
They don’t need much and can sit on the table for an extended period of time.
Voila!
A cute and simple Mother’s Day table centerpiece.
Option 2: Simply sweet Mother’s Day centerpiece
Is your mom the lady that loves soft colors?
Pastels and flowers?
If so, this simply sweet centerpiece is the one you need to copy for Mother’s Day.
Step 1: Use a soft table runner or tablecloth that has your mother’s favorite color.
I chose a light pink and white checkered table linen as the base for this centerpiece.
Step 2: Add a little greenery to the middle of the table.
Step 3: Place a raised tray over the greenery
Step 4: Add your Mother’s Day decor elements to the tray.
On this tray, I added three small bud vases I found in Target’s dollar section, along with an hourglass I found in a different section at Target.
The hourglass sand is the SAME color as the pink in table linen (another Target dollar spot item).
Can you believe it!
Crazy!!
The sand color and the light pink in the flowers pull the whole Mother’s Day table centerpiece together.
Tip: look for items that have complimenting colors that you can use together as part of your centerpiece.
Option 3: A pop of color for a simple Mother’s Day table centerpiece
Maybe your mom isn’t a gardener, or a soft-color, lady.
Is she bolder, and a lover of bright colors?
Then this “pop of color” centerpiece is perfect for her Mother’s Day table.
The trick to a quick and easy Mother’s Day centerpiece is not going crazy and adding too much to it.
Think ~ less is more.
Step 1: Select a table runner or tablecloth that will represent your mom’s bold style.
I used a cream-colored table linen so the orange would pop.
I know it doesn’t scream bold.
An orange colored table linen would have worked well too, but I couldn’t find one when I was at Target.
Step 2: Add a tray that complements your mom’s personality.
In this case, maybe your mom has a natural, or bohemian style, so the woven tray would be a good fit for her.
Or you could use a metal tray in gold or black.
Both are very striking.
Step 3: Add your Mother’s Day centerpiece elements.
Use large and chunky items.
I used a large, bulbous candle, chunky marble coasters, and an oversized vase.
Then I completed the centerpiece with a floral branch that had a bright striking color.
I found this branch (at Target) with faux oranges that are really eye-catching.
An idea I had after I created this bold Mother’s Day centerpiece was to add oranges to the tray.
Another way to add color to it.
Honestly, I really wish I had found a table linen at Target that had the color orange to highlight the orange branch.
But I do still love the bold color and oversized items in the centerpiece.
So which quick and easy Mother’s Day table centerpiece will you copy?
Which one suits your mom best?
Whichever you choose, I wish you and your mother a wonderful day!
