Are you looking for affordable outdoor thrifted tablescapes that are stylish, functional, and totally one-of-a-kind?
Then you’re in the right place!
I recently went thrifting at two different stores, hoping to find inspiration for an outdoor table setting, and I was shocked by how many great pieces I found.
Not only did I come home with some amazing treasures, but I was able to create three completely different table settings from my finds. Each with their own personality and vibe.
Whether you’re hosting brunch, a casual dinner, or just love creating a beautiful table like I do, I hope these ideas spark a little inspiration.

And don’t worry—each table is styled with function in mind.
After all, there’s nothing worse than running out of room for food!

Let’s jump into the first thrifted tablescape…
Table Setting 1: Soft Teal & Natural Textures

Total thrifted cost: $14
Layers of Casual Style
I kicked things off with a set of oval rattan placemats—just $1 each (half off from $1.99). They were in fantastic condition and set a relaxed, natural tone.
Next up: teal melamine plates that (crazy!) perfectly matched my outdoor chairs.
Originally marked at $2.99, I grabbed them for just $1.50 each.
The light brown rim totally tied in with the rattan placemats!
Don’t you just love when that happens without even trying!!

I kept the flatware super simple with a basic silver set I already had.
And then I found the cutest napkin rings ~ four for $2.99. They matched the placemats perfectly, even though they came from different thrift stores!
The napkins were a DIY project I did a while back for my Coastal Grandma tablescape. The sea coral pattern happened to coordinate beautifully with the plates.

Keeping It Functional
For drinking glasses, I used a set from HomeGoods ~ not thrifted, but the color match was too perfect to pass up.

The centerpiece?
A sweet little wicker basket for $1, filled with a small plant featuring cheerful yellow blooms.

It added a pop of color while keeping things simple and low-profile for serving dishes.

Table Setting 2: Black & White with a Pop of Lime

Total thrifted cost: $16
Bold, Yet Approachable
This table started with two black and white checkered runners ~ thrifted for $1 each.
I laid them across the table, from one chair to the one opposite, so they also acted like placemats.
On top, I added black plates with a white speckled design. Just $1.50 each.
The combination looked so cohesive without being overly coordinated.

I reused my clear-handled flatware from my Winter Wonderland tablescape (I’ll link it below) and added dark gray napkins from my masculine Father’s Day table (also linked below).
The clear napkin rings tied in with the clear flatware for a fresh, casual vibe.
I placed the napkins inside the plates in case the wind picked up.
Practical & Pretty
For the centerpiece, I found a black two-tier tray for $3.99.
It’s functional and stylish—holding food on the bottom tier and ramekins for condiments on top. (It also helped hold down the runners.)

I used clear hammered plastic tumblers to keep things light and practical.
Then came the statement piece: a bright lime green pitcher I spotted at the thrift store.

I knew right away it would be the perfect colorful accent to the otherwise purely black and white table.
To finish it off, I tied a small bow with leftover black and white ribbon at the top of the tray.

It was a tiny touch that echoed the pattern without adding clutter.

Table Setting 3: Nature-Inspired and Refined

Total thrifted cost: $26
Soft Colors & Earthy Texture
This third table has a more polished feel, but still relaxed.
I started with a $3.50 outdoor tablecloth featuring a leafy print in tans and greens.
So perfect for summer!
Then came the showstoppers: wood chargers for $2.99 each.
They looked brand new!

They grounded each setting and added so much warmth.
On top, I layered eggshell-colored plates for just $1.25 each. They picked up the light tones in the tablecloth beautifully.
I reused the same simple flatware from Table One and scored a set of four cloth napkins for $1.50.
I chose wooden napkin rings (which you might remember from my Father’s Day tablescape) to tie in with the chargers.

To complete the look, I added shatterproof wine glasses. A touch more refined than everyday tumblers but still perfect for outdoor dining.

Simple and Summery
For the centerpiece, I kept it low and lovely.

A cream-colored World Market vase for $3.99 filled with light, airy flowers. It’s pretty without getting in the way.

Final Thoughts
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I styled these three completely different thrifted outdoor tablescapes using mostly thrifted finds.
It was so much fun letting the pieces I discovered guide the look of each al fresco table.
Let me know in the comments which one was your favorite ~ and if you’ve found any great thrifted pieces lately. I’d love to hear about them!
