Finding Inspiration
Every great tablescape starts with inspiration, and for this one, I found it at an estate sale.
My muse came from a beautiful purple pitcher. This lovely piece has a soft purple hue with a blue-green handle, and the matching glasses have a hint of gold around the base.
They are SO pretty!
These colors formed the foundation for my entire table. I feel they are shades that evoke the feeling of spring—soft, light, and fresh.
Talk about a perfect spring palette!
Setting the Foundation
To begin, I chose a yellow square tablecloth and placed it diagonally.
Why yellow, you ask?
Well, not only is it a beautiful complement to lavender, but it’s also a quintessential spring color.

Plus, it creates a sunny backdrop for the rest of the table decor and provides a happy foundation to build upon.
Creating Eye-Catching Place Settings
Now, let’s talk place settings!
Here’s how I built mine up:

Charger Plates: I lucked out and found these amazing purple flower-shaped charger plates at an estate sale (for free, no less!). They perfectly echo the purple in my inspiration pieces.
When placing them, I made sure to center the petals with the chairs for consistency. This small detail made the table look well thought out and balanced.
Dinner Plates: On top of the chargers, I used white dinner plates with a delicate scalloped edge, perfect for adding that sweet, delicate touch I was aiming for.
They add a touch of elegance without overwhelming the other elements.
Salad Plates: To bring in more of that lovely lavender color, I added light purple salad plates. These were a special gift from a neighbor, which makes them even more meaningful.
Flatware: To complement the yellow tablecloth, I went with gold flatware.
The gold accents really pop against the purple and yellow, adding a bit of elegance to the table without feeling too formal.
Glassware: Remember those beautiful glasses that inspired the whole setup? They take center stage here. With a blue-green base, a gold stem, and a lavender bowl, they are a statement on their own.
They coordinate perfectly with the other elements on the table, and I love how the colors play off each other.
Napkins and Napkin Rings: I used my DIY no-sew linen napkins (similar to the pink gingham ones I’ve shared before) and paired them with floral napkin rings.

The napkin rings are another DIY project that i made using old shower curtain rings. Featuring blue and purple flowers, they echo the table’s color scheme.
These little details add a handmade, personal element to the table, making it feel even more special.
Styling the Perfect Spring Centerpiece
The table’s centerpiece is where it all comes together.
The centerpiece of this table is, of course, the purple pitcher that started it all. But I wanted to make it functional too.

Since the pitcher will likely be filled with a cold drink, I used a wicker paper plate holder and a napkin to protect the table from condensation.
This simple trick not only keeps the table safe but also adds an extra layer of texture and spring vibes.
Adding Visual Interest with Candle Holders and Bud Vases
Around the pitcher, I added two yellow candle holders that I’ve had for years.
They bring warmth and light to the table, matching the tones in the pitcher and glasses.

I also scattered a few small bud vases filled with lavender and purple flowers around the centerpiece.
Some of these vases are actually repurposed items like a toothpick holder and a tiny glass cup—proving that you can get creative with what you have on hand!
Finishing Touches: Wicker Butterflies
Finally, I added two wicker butterflies from the Target Dollar Spot for a whimsical touch. These light and airy decorations tie in with the wicker paper plate holder, creating a cohesive, playful look that feels perfect for spring.

Don’t you think this lavender spring table setting turned out beautifully?
I love how all the colors and elements came together to create a look that’s sweet, delicate, and perfect for the season.

Remember, the key is to start with a piece that inspires you and build your color scheme and theme from there.
Happy Spring!
