1. Use Vases as Candle Holders for Your Centerpiece
Vases are great to double as pillar candle holders.
They just need to have a wide enough opening for the candle to fit inside and be fairly transparent so the flame can be seen.
Check out the simple blue and white centerpiece below.

Just take a pretty napkin and put it diagonally on your table. Then add three wide-mouth vases that coordinate with the napkin colors. I chose to use one large vase and two smaller ones on each side.
Then add your pillar candles.
So simple and pretty!
2. Use a Tray to Create a Sweet Candle Centerpiece
Create an easy candle centerpiece using a tray.
For this centerpiece, I started with an antique dresser scarf. It’s shorter than a table runner, so doesn’t cover the length of the table. Which is wonderful if you want to show off your table.
Then I added a tray filled with pebbles. In the middle of the pebbles, I place a soft sage pillar candle and completed the look with three Sola wood flowers.

Isn’t it sweet and delicate!
3. One Large Candle Holder as a Statement Piece
Using one pillar candle can make a statement on a table. Especially when it’s such an easy centerpiece to create.
Place a pretty placemat in the center of your table. Then add a large pillar candle holder that matches the colors in the placemat.

Adding a glitter candle makes this centerpiece a show-stopper.
4. Create a Long Centerpiece with a Table Runner
If you have a table runner you love, then this simple centerpiece is one you should copy.

Just place the table runner down the middle of your table. Then line a row of pretty votive candle holders down the middle of the runner.
Make sure the colors match!
5. Vary the Heights of Your Candles
If you want to create a statement with an easy candle centerpiece, vary the height of your candles.
For this centerpiece, I started with a scarf and scrunched it up diagonally across my table. Then I alternated short glass candlesticks and tall black taper candle holders.

In the black candle holders, I placed short thick candles, and in the glass candle holders, I added skinny medium-height candles.
The varying heights create a dramatic looking centerpiece.
