Creating an Easter tablescape on a budget is all about finding inspiration in thrift stores.
This year, I was lucky enough to come across the perfect piece that sparked my creativity: a set of beautiful blue salad plates I found at a secondhand store.
These plates didn’t scream “Easter” with bunnies or eggs, but the soft blue color was perfect for spring, and I knew I could build a gorgeous Easter table setting around them.
Let me walk you through how I styled a pretty Easter table using a few simple DIY projects, thrift finds, and a little creativity.

Finding Inspiration
Every time I wanna styling a tablescape, I look for a piece that sparks my creativity.
This year, year it was a set of beautiful blue salad plates found at a secondhand store.
The shade of blue felt just right for spring and Easter, even though the plates themselves didn’t have any Easter motifs.
I knew I could transform them into the perfect place setting with the right additions.
The Foundation: Tablecloth and Napkins
The Perfect Tablecloth
To complement my blue plates, I needed a tablecloth that would anchor the overall look.
After browsing through several options, I found a gorgeous tablecloth at HomeGoods.

The blue flowers on the tablecloth matched my plates perfectly, providing a solid foundation for my Easter tablescape.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find matching napkins, so I decided to diy my own.
DIY Gingham Napkins
I wanted napkins that would coordinate beautifully with my tablecloth, so I picked up some soft pink gingham fabric.
Since the fabric was 100% cotton, I needed to ensure it wouldn’t shrink after washing. So before I made the napkins, I washed the fabric in hot water and dried it to prevent any future shrinkage.
If you’ve never made DIY napkins before, it’s super easy! I simply cut the fabric into 19×19 inch squares and allowed the edges to fray naturally.
*I have a post for how to create No Sew Napkins.
This gave the napkins a charming, rustic feel, perfect for a springtime table.
After a quick press to remove the wrinkles, my diy no-sew napkins were ready to go.
Creating the Centerpiece
For the centerpiece, I found a lovely dough bowl at a thrift store.
Its wide shape was perfect for holding decorative elements.
I placed a cute bunny figure from Target in the center and wrapped grapevine garland around the bowl.

Adding Flowers and Ivy
To bring in some color and a springtime feel, I incorporated faux flowers in colors that echoed the blue and pink of the plates and diy napkins.
I carefully arranged the flowers within the grapevines, allowing them to drape naturally.

Additionally, I used some ivy to add a touch of greenery, letting the ivy drape gracefully over the centerpiece for a lush, cascading effect.
Setting the Table
Now comes the fun part – bringing it all together!
With my tablecloth, napkins, and centerpiece ready, it was time to set the table. I added light green placemats on top of the tablecloth for an extra layer of color and texture.
Plates and Flatware
I used white enamel plates with a silver edge that I found at a thrift store. These plates paired beautifully with my blue salad plates.
For flatware, I chose green-handled pieces I’ve used in other tablescapes.

The green ties in beautifully with the floral pattern on the tablecloth.
Drinking Glasses
For the glasses, I decided to mix vintage with new.
I used dusty pink water glasses from HomeGoods alongside clear vintage wine glasses I already had. The combination brought a lovely, eclectic touch to the table.

Styling the Napkins
For the napkins, I opted for a simpler look: I pinched them at the center and tied a light blue ribbon around the middle. Then I added a small faux flower between the napkin and ribbon.
This arrangement provided a sweet and elegant touch to the table.
*Note: the faux flowers can be placed back in the centerpiece after the meal, keeping the table tidy.
The Final Touch
To make my guests feel special, I included delicate place cards in the top left corner of each setting.
Using a dry-erase marker, I can personalize each card with my guests’ names.

It’s these little details that make a tablescape truly inviting!
Bringing It All Together
This Easter tablescape is a perfect example of how you can create a cohesive, beautiful look by mixing DIY projects with thrifted finds and store-bought pieces.

The key is to find one piece that inspires you, like my blue salad plates, and build from there.

I hope this gives you some ideas for your own spring and Easter table settings.
